Michael Howard is the Staff Representative on the Board of Trustees.
He was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1961 and after completing High School, he participated in two years of National Service as a Marine in the Navy before commencing an apprenticeship as an Auto Electrician.
After qualifying, Michael worked in the trade for two years and was then offered a job as a Technology teacher at Willowmoore High School in Benoni, South Africa where he worked and studied part time, completing a Higher Diploma in Education and a Further Diploma in Educational management.
Married in 1986 to Melanie, he has two children who have both completed degrees and are working.
In December 2009 they decided to emigrate to New Zealand and moved to Feilding where he was appointed as HoD Technology. In 2016 we decided that we would like to discover the South Island and moved to Timaru where they are very happy.
As a hobby, Michael enjoys restoring and riding motorcycles.
