With less than three weeks to go until the Aon Maadi Cup at Lake Ruataniwha TBHS rowing have only two school regattas (one being the Maadi Cup) left to race after the squad competed at the Canterbury Junior Championships, held at Lake Hood.
Brian Smith, Head Coach was pleased with the result in what was, at times, tough conditions.
“This regatta marks the first of the secondary school regattas for the season and out of twenty two heat races, TBHS rowing managed 21 A Finals. Out of those A Finals fell eleven Golds, three Silvers and three Bronze placings, which means the whole squad placed at this regatta" added Smith. "The squad are continuing to commit to their training and focus on their strengths"
We wish our boys every success at the South Island Seconary School Championships to be held at Lake Ruataniwha this weekend, 13th-15th March.
