Timaru Boys' would like to congratulate William McArthur on his recent achievements at the Australian National Pipe Band Championships.
William travelled to Scotch College in Adelaide at the beginning of the school holidays to perform in the Keol Begg and R U Brown Piobaireachd competition.
William was placed 3rd in the 2019 C Grade MSR competition; he was also awarded 2nd place in the Jim Smith Perpetual Trophy, and achieved 1st place in the 2019 Bronze medal section.
William has been invited to compete in the World Pipe Band competition with Celtic, a Pipe Band based in Nelson, and he is hoping to continue this success when he travels to Glasgow in August.
