Three new records and an equalled-record were the highlights of the 2016 swimming sports.

Jack Sands took two of those records with wins in the Junior 50 mtrs freestyle and backstroke. Jack set a new time of 27.80 to Break Riley Taylor’s 2015 record. He then broke William MacLeod's 3 year-old record in the backstroke with a time of 31.70. Jack took out all the other junior events to be Junior Champion, with Mathew Moore the runner-up.

In the seniors, Riley Taylor equalled William MacLeod's 2014 record of 31 seconds in the 50mtrs backstroke. This is Riley’s first year in the senior ranks so there should be some more records to come. Late entry Hercules Cho was the surprise winner in the 50 mtrs butterfly, setting a time of 30.30 to beat Kyle Uys’s 2013 record. Riley Taylor took out Senior Champion with Campbell Lindblom the runner-up.

Simmers House took out the Junior, Senior and Open relays as well as the Best House Overall.
