For the past two years Timaru Boys’ High School has been running an extremely successful programme for some of our Year 11 boys.
The programme, known as PACE, provides extra support for boys who are more than capable of getting NCEA Level 1 but may need additional support in specific areas to achieve this goal. PACE has a holistic approach to the students and looks at life skills, communication skills and physical needs.
At the beginning of the year we get the boys to challenge themselves and their group on the high ropes course at Geraldine High School. This year, like other years, proved to be highly successful and we were so impressed with the boys’ participation and the teamwork that was shown by the boys.
