Weights Room Training
Students were given the opportunity to acquire information on weight training from James McFarlane (Personal Trainer at C Bay). James presented three lunchtime sessions to advise the students on the purpose of weights, with a focus on technique, nutrition and general health and safety.
Programmes were given to the students to follow. Students could then talk to James about fitting the programme to their specific needs.
The boys pay $60 for the year which helps keep the weight room equipment up and running. The weight room is accessible before school, lunchtimes and after school, but that needs to be arranged with Mr McFarlane (HOD PE).
It is important students know how to use the weight room correctly so they don’t injure themselves and so they can get maximum benefit from their time training.
