Hamish Dunbar was the star of the School Athletics meeting, with wins in the Senior 100m, 200m, 400m and 800 metre events.
Hamish, who is in Year 12, also took out the Champion of Champions 100m which pits the 1st and 2nd of all age group 100 metre events against each other. Year 11 student Hamish Stowell came in a creditable 2nd in this race. Ofa Manuofetoa took out the Discus, Javelin and shot put to be the dominant athlete in the Field Events.
Hamish Stowell took out the 100m and 200m combination in the intermediate events with Bailey Gebbie taking out the 800m and 1500m. The 1500m was in the smart time of 5min and 2 seconds.
Sam Milne was the star in the junior ranks with wins in the 100m, 200m and 400m. George Guerin took out the longer track events with wins in the 800m, 1500m and 3000m to share the limelight with Milne. Ben Sewell took out the major field events with wins in the high jump and long jump, as well as a win in the 100m hurdles in a good time of 14.94 seconds.
In the minor grade William Rawlins took out the 100m and 200m double. The rest of the events in this grade were spread evenly amongst the other boys.
The overall House winner was Simmers, who continued their recent domination after taking out the School Swimming Championships.
