The Pride is taking shape……

As Lion King Rehearsals continue, the cast have been working hard to develop the storytelling aspects of the production, attending rehearsals three times a week, with Sundays now being six hour rehearsals.

Drama teacher Morag Carter is really excited about how the show is looking. “The cast are really committed to putting on the best performance possible”.

Things are also developing backstage as various students and community members come together to create the costumes, puppets, scenic elements, lighting, sound and makeup plans needed to put the show together. “The production is bigger than Ben Hur”, says Morag “and there’s no way we’d have been able to do it without all the amazing support we’re getting from the students, parents and the community.”

In the second week of the holidays, students will be in at school working on puppets, props and costumes ahead of the show in May.

The Lion King, performed by students from TBHS and TGHS opens 25 May 2016 and runs until 28 May in Hogben Hall. Tickets prices will be announced when sales open on Monday 2 May
