Timaru Boys' High School has traditionally been a strong supporter of the annual NZ Blood Donor Recruitment drive, with Senior students having the opportunity of participating in this worthy cause.
The NZ Blood Service team were in the school at the end of Term 3 and saw 73 generous TBHS and TGHS students, as well as staff, take time out to donate.
The day saw 58 units of blood collected, equating to 174 lives saved by the contributors .......... one donation can save the lives of up to three people.
The NZ Blood Service wish to pass on their thanks to all participants and look forward to visiting us again next year.
