Over time we have seen an increasing number of students who struggle to arrive at school on time. In response to this, the PB4L Committee has been trialling a new initiative with the juniors this term called the Early Bird System.
Students are required to be lined up outside their form room by 8:45am. If they arrive between 8:45am and 8:55am they are marked “late” on the attendance register. When a student arrives after 8:55am without a valid explanation, they must report into the Student Office for processing through the Early Bird System and are issued with an Early Bird Detention. This means they must complete a detention from 8:10am to 8:30am the following morning with the Deans. As a school we think that being on time is an essential life skill that students must learn - your support would be greatly appreciated.
