The TBHS cross country team challenged themselves by heading south to the Otago Championships.
The weather turned cold and wet on arrival which made for challenging conditions. Although our runners were unable to score in the Otago competition, Payo O'Sullivan was first across the line in the U14 race and Johnson Cleland was 4th.
Also in the top 20 were Ryan Bell 13th and Jonty Porter 18th.
If the team had been allowed to score, we would have been a close 2nd to King's High School. Our U16 boys would have won this division with Malachy Cleland 4th, Josh Young 5th, Tom Allan 7th and William Talbot 8th.
Our boys can be proud of their achievements.
