Congratulations to Caleb Cameron who continues to impress with his success on the national dance stage, evidenced through his achievements at the NZ DANCE AWARDS held in Christchurch.

From the 23 Tap and Jazz competitors, Caleb’s selection to the “top 3” in New Zealand was an exceptional feat.

Caleb’s other placings included winning an award at the finals for Most Entertaining Tap plus 1st Tap Solo, 1st Slow/Waltz Tap Solo, 1st Song & Tap Duo, 2nd Impromptu Tap Solo, 4th Speed Tap

Attending Musical Theatre workshops of singing and dance under the direction of Diane Laurenson from New York to learn a production number from West Side Story (America) was a highlight and performed as a group at the final events night on the main stage at NASDA to a packed ticket only event.

Caleb also competed for a nomination to PACANZ (finals of Tap & Ballet NZ Nationals, to be held in Palmerston North in October), subsequently winning a place as well as coming 1st in the Senior Tap Championship. We look forward to hearing of Caleb’s ongoing success at the upcoming PACANZ.
