This event was held on Tuesday 29 May in very cold and overcast conditions on the site of the old QE2 stadium in Christchurch.
TBHS usually participate every year but cannot hold any placings or titles as it is closed for Christchurch schools, but we have always been welcome to compete.
First up in the Year 9 boys was Saxon McNoe who ran very well and finished a creditable 56th.
Next on the start line was Ryan Bagrie who ran an excellent race and shadowed the leader for the entire race and finished in second place to the surprise of the Canterbury supporters. Ryan was hoping for a top 5 place and looks in great shape for the upcoming New Zealand Secondary Schools Cross Country Championships in Taupo this weekend.
We had six boys running in the Senior Boys race and it was a tough day at the office for these students, but they all ran very well.
Peter Rawlins 24th, Josh Earnshaw 39th, Harry Black 46th, Jack Blakemore 48th, Seb van der Bosh 49th and Robert Chapman 54th
