This year, all staff at Timaru Boys' High School will be actively involved in teaching the POWER values to our students. Each of the school terms will have a special focus, with Earning Respect being the focal point of Term One.
Throughout the first term, sessions will be run with students considering what respect means to them, how to earn respect, and ways in which their role models show respect for others. Peer support leaders will work closely with Year 9 students in order to provide strong role models and encourage respect and understanding from within the student body, while form teachers will discuss these ideas with their form classes during pastoral form periods.
