This event was held on 9 July in Invercargill. The team consisted of Riley Taylor, Campbell Lindblom, Reed Stevenson, Jack Sands and Matthew Moore.

It was an amazing meet, with some fantastic results. The boys swam fifty five races in one day, including heats and finals, and finished in the top nine in all of them.

The relay team of Riley, Campbell, Reed and Jack (with Matthew as reserve) won both of their relay events. They beat the second placed team by 10 seconds and 7 seconds respectively in the 200m Medley relay and the 200m Freestyle relay.

· Jack Sands competed in seven events, placing 1st in five of these, and 2nd in two. One of his second placings, the 100m Freestyle, he was within .04 of gaining the 1st placing.

· Riley Taylor also competed in seven events and gained three 1st placings, two 2nd placings and two 3rd placings.

· Matthew Moore competed in six events, achieving one 1st, one 2nd, three 4th and one 5th placing.

· Campbell Lindblom competed in four events gaining three 4th and one 5th placing.

· Reed Stevenson competed in six events achieving one 4th, three 5th, one 7th and one 9th placing.

Congratulations to all the boys on their strong representation at a magnificent meet. To qualify for so many finals and to gain the number of placings that they did in a South Island Championship, is a credit to them and a reflection of the hard work that they have undertaken, with so many early morning and late night trainings.

Many thanks also to all the parents who assisted with organisation and time keeping.
